Hola!! I am Maria, originally from Colombia, earned my BS in Biochemistry at the university of Central Florida and moved to Raleigh in 2020 and currently working as a scientist at the triangle. I found Civitan back in August 2024 and all I can say is that I am very happy to have joined, here I have connected with some of my dearest friends and have had the opportunity to volunteer with great organizations. In my free time I am either riding my bike or running in the beautiful greenways, at the gym, reading a nice book, traveling or catching a good movie!

Hi, I'm Brad Schrade! I moved to Raleigh for a new job in 2024 after finishing graduate school at Vanderbilt University and leaving my nonprofit role in Nashville, TN. I discovered YP Civitan that same year and was drawn to its mission and people. After my first monthly meeting, I knew I had found a great community. When I'm not working my day job or serving with Civitan, I enjoy traveling, movies, hiking, and spending time with my dog.

I moved to Raleigh in 2021 and currently work as a Software Engineer. While looking to connect with my local community, I discovered Triangle YP Civitan and was drawn to its mission of giving back and fostering meaningful social connections. I joined the board in 2023 as Projects Chair, serving in that role for about a year before stepping into the President-Elect role. Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy traveling, running, snowboarding, and hiking.

Hi, I’m Abir! I’ve called the Triangle and North Carolina home since 2011. I joined Triangle YP Civitan in 2022 because I’ve enjoyed volunteering in my community ever since I was in high school. I work as a crisis counselor, and I’m also a part-time graduate student. In my spare time, I like to read, watch my favorite sports teams, play video games, and walk or bike on greenways.

After moving to Raleigh in 2019, I found Triangle YP Civitan pretty quickly and it stuck because of how welcoming the group is. It's been great getting to know people, make genuine friendships, and give back to our local community. Outside of the club, I work as a Data Analyst, and in my spare time, you'll find me hiking, playing tennis, cooking a new recipe, or making a cocktail.

I joined Civitan in 2025 to meet new people and get more involved in my community. I moved back to North Carolina in 2020 after working for an environmental nonprofit in Massachusetts. After 10 years in education and the nonprofit sector, I transitioned into Human Resources and began looking for new ways to give back. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and playing with my two cats.

Hi! I'm Elisabetta, originally from Miami, FL :) I graduated from Florida International University with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering in 2022 and moved to the Raleigh area back in 2025. I found Triangle YP Civitan a few months into moving here and am happy to have found a group with friendly people passionate about giving back and I've made so many wonderful friends through the club. Outside of Civitan, I like to read, go on hikes, and spend time with my cat Pookie.

Hi I'm Dorian but my friends call me Dori! I’m excited to be part of the chapter as social chair and get to know everyone better! Outside of the chapter, I work in healthcare, enjoy spending time with friends, last minute road trips, and finding new experiences to enjoy. I’m always looking for ways to grow, have fun, and make the most of life. Looking forward to making more memories with everyone!

Hi, I'm Leah. I joined Triangle YP Civitan in 2024 and have loved connecting with a community of people who are passionate about service and giving back. I graduated from NC State University (go Pack!) with a degree in Sustainable Materials and Technology and now work in the wood composites industry, focusing on innovation and product development. Originally from North Carolina, I’m always looking for ways to stay involved locally and make a positive impact. In my free time, I enjoy fitness classes, trying new recipes, and spending time with my dog, Bandit!
