Who We Are

Triangle YP Civitan club is a charter of Civitan International and the fourth Young Professional Civitan club charter in the United States .We provide young professionals with the ability to participate with like minded individuals in a variety of regularly scheduled community service and social activities. Our club was chartered on September 25, 2013.

Civitan International is an organization of volunteer service clubs around the world, dedicated to helping people in their own communities. The worldwide mission of Civitan International is to build good citizenship by providing a volunteer organization of clubs dedicated to serving individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities. We do this by volunteering with causes supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the year, as well as hosting an annual cornhole tournament and silent auction fundraiser to raise money for Special Olympics North Carolina.

Our Mission

Our mission is to connect young professionals in the Triangle to volunteer and leadership opportunities, while providing a supportive community for personal and professional development.

What We do

Community Engagement: We believe in the power of service and giving back. Through volunteer projects, fundraisers, and community partnerships, we actively engage in initiatives that help our local community and create a positive impact. Whether it is cleaning up litter in a local park, serving lunch to unsheltered women, or hosting events for underserved youth, there’s something for everyone to get involved in.

Networking and Collaboration: Our organization serves as a hub for networking and collaboration, providing opportunities for members to connect with like-minded professionals, build meaningful relationships, and exchange ideas. With young professionals across many different fields, including engineering, technology, and education, our members are able to build connections and expand their network.

Leadership: Our club is always looking for individuals interested in becoming leaders in the community. We provide leadership opportunities within the club, including elected and appointed board positions, as well as ad hoc event committees. We also connect club members to outside leadership opportunities for the various organizations we work with.

Have Fun: Most importantly, we believe in having fun! After all, making a difference is even better when you have fun while doing it. In addition to our regular volunteer events, we also host social events for our members every month. From baseball games to bar crawls, there’s always something fun planned right around the corner.

Our Values

Inclusivity: We embrace diversity in all its forms and strive to create an inclusive environment where every voice is heard, valued, and respected.

Integrity: We uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in everything we do, building trust and credibility within our organization and the broader community.

Teamwork: We recognize the importance of working together with fellow members and community organizations to achieve common goals and amplify our impact on the community.
